SUN's CAIGLGN series Counterbalance Valve is a valuable addition to any hydraulic system, providing exceptional control in cases of overload. Equipped with a pilot assist device, the atmospheric exhaust balance valve allows for free flow from the directional valve (port 2) to the load (port 1), while the direct-acting pilot assistance pressure relief valve controls flow from port 1 to port 2. The pilot assist device at port 3 reduces the effective set value of the relief valve at a rate determined by the pilot ratio. Unlike other valves, the back pressure at port 2 does not affect the valve set value since the spring chamber reference is atmospheric.
