Applications
The SUN CODA-XCN is a pilot operated shut-off check valve that is primarily used in hydraulic systems, and its specific uses include:
Allow unidirectional flow of fluid: This valve allows fluid to flow from port 1 to port 2, but prevents reverse fluid flow .
Regenerative circuit applications: This valve is often used in regenerative circuits to help improve the efficiency and stability of the system.
Pressure control: The pressure in port 2 is directly counteracted by the pilot pressure, enabling the valve to open or close automatically under a certain pressure.
Precautions for Use
When using the SUN CODA-XCN, the following points should be noted:
Pilot Pressure Ratio: The valve's operating principle is based on spring bias closure with a pilot pressure ratio of 1.8:1. this means that the pilot port pressure counteracts the port 1 pressure at a ratio of 1.8:1 .
Reverse shutoff reliability: In any case, reverse flow from port 2 to port 1 is not possible due to the design of the valve which ensures reverse shutoff reliability.
SEAL MATERIAL: Cartridge valves configured with EPDM seals can be used in phosphate ester hydraulic fluid systems. Exposure to petroleum-based hydraulic fluids or lubricating greases will damage the seals.
Corrosion-Resistant Models: For corrosive environments, corrosion-resistant models with the “/AP” suffix are available.
Maximum Leakage: Maximum leakage is 0.07cc/min at 110SUS (24cSt).
The SUN CODA-XCN is a powerful hydraulic control element for use in a wide range of hydraulic systems. However, in order to ensure proper operation and long service life, users must understand its operating principle and usage limitations, and take appropriate maintenance measures.
